Prepared for Kyle

This is Jessica's ring.

Everything is locked. The stone is hers, the design is done, and it's going to the bench. Here's the whole thing in one place.

Where it stands

All of it, settled.

Center: 3.60 carat oval, E / VVS2, 100% eye-clean.

Setting: Bespoke yellow gold. Four marquise across the shoulders, size 4.5.

Hidden inside: A ruby for her July birthday, set into the band.

In your hands: Mid September, brought to you by Jared.

Made for her, from nothing.

This one doesn't exist anywhere else. The shoulders sweep past the center stone instead of meeting it square, so the whole ring sits on a soft angle rather than straight across the finger. Two marquise on each side, angled to open outward like petals. A line of pavé arcs underneath the stone, which you only catch from the side.

Yellow gold throughout, on a classic band width. Nothing loud. The stone and the shape do the work.

3.60 carats, and it wears bigger.

Oval brilliant, 3.60 carats

Colorless, and a big face for the weight.

E sits at the colorless end of the scale, with no warmth you could pick out even next to a whiter stone. VVS2 means you'd struggle to find an inclusion under magnification, let alone across a dinner table. At 12.26 mm long and 8.59 mm across it reads bigger than most stones its weight, because more of the carat sits in the face instead of hidden in the depth. Polish and symmetry both grade excellent, with no fluorescence.

A ruby for July, inside the band.

Set flush into the inside of the band, resting against her finger, where nobody sees it but her. The outside stays completely clean. It's the kind of thing she finds a week later and asks you about.

Nothing, on your end.

You've made every call this ring needed. Here's the run to the finish.

  • This week. Her stone is secured and the ring goes to our bench.
  • Through early September. Cast in yellow gold, every stone set by hand, then finished and polished.
  • Before it comes to you. Final quality check, photographed, and boxed.
  • Mid September. Jared brings it to you himself.

"Kyle, this came together quickly because you knew what she'd like and didn't second guess yourself. The sweep across the shoulders and the marquise give it something she won't see on anyone else's hand, and the ruby inside is the part she'll actually get emotional about. Nothing left for you to do but wait. Jared will put it in your hands himself."
